North Dakota Homeless Management Information System

The HMIS in the State of North Dakota is called the North Dakota Homeless Management Information System (NDHMIS). There is one HUD-defined CoC within the state of North Dakota (ND-500) and this CoC covers the entire geographic area of the State of North Dakota. Therefore, NDHMIS is a statewide implementation, meaning that agencies that provide serves to individuals and families at-risk of and experiencing homelessness across the State of North Dakota enter data into the same HMIS database.

NDHMIS uses ServicePoint as the software and the software vendor is Wellsky. The software vendor is responsible for ensuring NDHMIS meets all required HUD data and technical standards.

ServicePoint includes different modules to streamline the data entry into the system, and the purpose of the explanations below is to attempt to explain all that NDHMIS can do for the users, agencies, CoC, State, and clients it is meant to support. We will explain features that go above and beyond the minimum baseline requirements and show how NDHMIS can be beneficial to agencies and users, as well as to the clients served.

***Please note that is document is not intended to be a training manual. If an agency is interested in the additional features available in NDHMIS, please contact ICA at ndhmis@icalliances.org to set up a time to talk through the agency's needs and schedule training.***
